OUR STORY

perfect practice makes perfect

Jeff Sung

CHIEF DIRECTOR OF EOK

"It's never really about EOK, it's always about the students here. We want to help students to develop a multi-directional mindset to overcome any obstacles coming their way and set them up for success. Our focus is to create individualized academic study plans and strategies that are best suited for each student.”

Why was EOK created?

ESTABLISH LIFELONG SKILLS |PREPARE THEM FOR SUCCESS

In 2002, Dr. Philip Ma, Jeff Sung, and several professors saw one major problem with many university students - weak mathematical fundamentals. As a result, Elements of Knowledge (EOK) was established at the University of Waterloo to provide better methods to help students understand complicated math concepts and apply them to resolve real-world issues. Later on, EOK’s teaching philosophy was offered to elementary and high school students in Richmond Hill, Markham, and Hong Kong. Since then, EOK has expanded its teaching methods beyond mathematics and helped many students accomplish their academic goals and establish a successful career in their study fields.
